Public Payphones

This consultation closes on Monday 21 June, 2021.

We want your views on BT's proposal to remove the following public payphones from locations across Swale.

The payphones are located:

  • adjacent to the roundabout which connects Blue Town High Street with Brielle Way, ME12 1RN, used once in the last year
  • opposite Sheerness Police Station on Millennium Way, close to the junction with Victory Street, ME12 1NZ, used 19 times in the last year
  • close to the Minster Leas Beach, on The Broadway, Minster on Sea, Sheerness, ME12 2DE, used  once in the last year

BT have argued that these payphones have not been used enough and they are proposing that they are removed.

You can download a map showing the location of the:

To make sure that the local community are fully informed, BT have placed a consultation notice on each payphone.
