Grants for Businesses during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak
If you haven’t applied for an Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) for November already, email edu@swale.gov.uk.
You may be eligible for a grant if you've had to close your business, it has been severely impacted by local lockdown restrictions or you've had to make significant changes to it in order to keep trading - for example, providing a takeaway service.
The following two grants schemes are available for businesses:
- Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG)
- Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed)

Following the government’s announcement on 22 February, we’re able to offer another round of funding through the existing LRSG (Closed) and ARG schemes from the 16 February, 2021 to 31 March, 2021.
If you:
- applied for the LRSG (Closed) or ARG for January we’ll contact you. You don’t need to apply
- didn’t apply for the LRSG (Closed) or ARG for January 2021 and you think you’re eligible for either of the schemes from 16 February 2021, you’ll need to contact the Economic Development Team at edu@swale.gov.uk
