Changes to bin days from Bank Holiday Monday, 19 September

Monday 19 September has been declared a Bank Holiday for Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral.

To allow staff to pay their respects and commemorate the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, council services will be closed on Monday 19 September for the State Funeral.

This includes waste and recycling collections, which will be postponed by one day for the week so there will be no collections on Monday 19 September

Bin collections will now take place as follows for the rest of the week:

Normal collection day Monday 19 September – revised collection day Tuesday 20 September
Normal collection day Tuesday 20 September – revised collection day Wednesday 21 September
Normal collection day Wednesday 21 September – revised collection day Thursday 22 September
Normal collection day Thursday 22 September – revised collection day Friday 23 September
Normal collection day Friday 23 September – revised collection day Saturday 24 September

Collections will return to normal on Monday 26 September.
