Christmas bin collections and opening hours

Bin collections

Due to when Christmas Day and New Year’s day fall this year, there will be no changes to general waste and recycling collections over the Christmas period.

Our contractors will be working the Bank Holidays, so collections will remain the same Monday to Friday. To find your collection day, visit our collection days page.

Garden waste and bulky waste collections will be suspended from Monday 27 December for two weeks and will restart on Monday 10 January.

Clinical collections will remain the same.

Our phone lines will be closed and office will be closed for appointments over the Christmas break, you can see more details of when they will be closed below:

Friday 24 December

Phone lines  close and appointments end at 3pm

Monday 27 December – Monday 3 January

Phone lines and offices closed

Tuesday 4 January

Phone lines open as usual and offices reopen
