Committee System Structure Announced

Following annual council on Wednesday 18 May, 2022, we've announced the structure for the Council's committee system.

The responsibilities of each committee were already agreed, and you can download the report (PDF 241kb).

You can find a list of members of each committee by downloading the report (PDF 117kb) and the chairs and vice-chairs of each are listed below.

Service committees

Communities

The chair of the Communities committee is Cllr Richard Palmer and the vice chair is Cllr Elliott Jayes.

Environment

The chair of the Environment committee is Cllr Julian Saunders and the vice chair is Cllr Tim Valentine.

Housing and Health

The chair of the Housing and Health committee is Cllr Ben Martin and the vice chair is Cllr Angela Harrison.

Policy and Resources

The chair of the Policy and Resources committee is Cllr Mike Baldock and the vice chair is Cllr Monique Bonney.

Regeneration and Property

The chair of the Regeneration and Property committee is Cllr Monique Bonney and the vice chair is Cllr Sarah Stephen.

Area committees

Eastern

The chair of the Eastern committee is Cllr Denise Knights and the vice chair is Cllr Julian Saunders.

Sheppey

The chair of the Sheppey committee is Cllr Ken Ingleton and the vice chair is Cllr Cameron Beart.

Sittingbourne

The chair of the Sittingbourne committee is Cllr Steve Davey and the vice chair is Cllr Mike Dendor.

Western

The chair of the Western committee is Cllr Corrie Woodford and the vice chair is Cllr Sarah Stephen.

The chair of the Audit committee is Cllr Derek Carnell and the vice chair is Cllr Mike Henderson.

Licensing

The chair of the Licensing committee is Cllr Derek Carnell and the vice chair is Cllr Tony Winckless.

Planning

The chair of the Planning committee is Cllr Tim Gibson and the vice chair is Cllr Elliot Jayes.

Standards

The chair of the Standards committee is Cllr Hannah Perkin and the vice chair is Cllr Steve Davey.

Urgent Decisions

The chair of the Urgent Decisions committee is Cllr Mike Baldock and the vice chair is Cllr Monique Bonney.
