Vandals destroy two dog waste bins in Sittingbourne

Thoughtless vandals have destroyed two dog waste bins at the Rectory Playing Fields in Sittingbourne.

The bins are two of the five at the Rec that help keep the area clean from dog waste and were set alight and melted last month.

They were found by a council inspector on 23 March and replaced the following day at a cost of £700.

Not only is this thoughtless vandalism preventing the people who want to do the right thing by clearing up after their dog. But it is also very dangerous. Anybody could’ve been hurt and suffered burns that would’ve needed medical attention.

These dog bins cost £350 each and to replace two needlessly is a waste of public money.
