If you're sleeping rough on the streets, you should contact our Housing Options team by:

  • calling 01795 417485 during normal office hours, 9am to 5pm (4:45pm on Friday)
  • calling 01634 304400 if you're calling outside normal office hours

Extra support for homeless due to coronavirus

We are committed to helping people who are rough sleeping find somewhere to live, but we recognise that this is not always successful. During the current pandemic, we are operating the ‘everybody in’ protocol put in place by the Government which ensures no one is rough sleeping during this time.

We have contacted our voluntary and statutory sector partners to advise this is in place. We have also notified our out-of-hours service.

During office hours, anyone rough sleeping should contact the Housing Options team by calling 01795 417485.

Outside of these times, our out-of-hours homeless service will arrange to place rough sleepers in emergency accommodation while his protocol is in place. They can be contacted on 01634 304400.

This protocol will remain in place until further notice. As always, rough sleepers will be offered an appointment with Housing Options who can provide advice to deal with their longer-term homelessness.
