Draft Statement of Community Involvement

This consultation closes at 5pm on Wednesday 2 July.

Statements of Community Involvement (SCI) set out the approaches councils take to involving the community and statutory partners in the preparation of development plan documents and planning applications.

Local Planning Authorities in England are required to produce Statements of Community Involvement and review them every 5 years.

Our current Statement of Community Involvement was adopted in 2018 and updated in 2021. We're now proposing a new SCI and are undertaking a consultation on the draft Statement of Community Involvement, May 2025 (PDF 536KB).
