We are very sorry to all those affected by delays to waste, recycling and garden collections as the crews get used to new routes and vehicles. We are working with Suez to improve the situation, and we’re providing updates with latest information.

Community Infrastructure Grants

Although this grant scheme has closed, if you feel that you have a project which may be eligible please contact us by email as you may be able to join the waiting list for funding.

Funded by UK Government

We've set up the community infrastructure grant scheme using funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the Rural Economic Prosperity Fund (REPF).

Grants are available for capital investment only and will prioritise investment for community benefit.

We will award grants of between £1,000 and £7,000 to organisations to cover no more than 75% of the costs of the works.  In most cases, expenditure should be completed within the same financial year as the application has been submitted.

This is a discretionary grant scheme, and all decisions are based on our assessment of applications, to determine if the required criteria are met.

For carbon reduction measures, this will include contact with a Council appointed expert contractor, who will provide both support to applicants, and advise the Council on individual applications.

This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
