Local elections took place on Thursday 4 May 2023.
The full results of the borough elections, Kent County Council by-election and town and parish elections are available on our election results page.
The overall borough election results were:
- Conservatives - 12 seats
- Greens - 3 seats
- Independent - 1 seat
- Labour - 15 seats
- Liberal Democrats - 5 seats
- Swale Independents Alliance - 11 seats
The leader and chairs of committees will be elected by councillors on 17 May 2023.
