The first St Peter's Church, which was built in 1905, was destroyed by fire in 1922. A second church was built on the same site in 1925. This building was converted into a hall and a third church was built on an adjacent site in 1973. This church finally closed in 2015. The churches are shown on the 1907 -23, 1929-52 and current O/S maps.
