Abel's Acre. A long and tall rockery retaining embankment of locally made yellow brick burrs - bricks distorted and fused together in firing. Built at the time of the construction of Forbes Rd. and the adjoining railway bridge - circa 1896. It is named after Walter Abel, Parks Superintendent of Faversham Borough Council in the 1960s. It makes a valuable contribution to Conservation Area character.
