Report fly-tipping
Report fly-tipping
Use this service to tell us that you've seen waste that's been left in an inappropriate area.
Fly-tipping is a serious offence and you should call 999 if you see it happening.
You should report fly-tipping to the owner of the land if you see it on:
- agricultural land, including farm buildings, forests and open land
- land owned by a housing association, such as Optivo
- private or residential land or property
- land owned by Network Rail
If you see fly-tipping on land owned by Network Rail, report it directly to them on 03457 11 41 41.
If you're the landowner it's your responsibility to remove the fly-tipping however, we will investigate if you've found evidence.
Before you get started
You can report fly-tipping online. You'll need:
- the location of the waste
- the type of waste that's been dumped
- the date you noticed the waste
- your full name and postcode
- an email address
You can include photographs of the waste if you have them.
What happens next
Once we've received your report, we'll:
- arrange to have the rubbish cleared within 10 working days if the fly tipping has taken place on public land
- update you on the progress of any investigation
