Apply and pay
You can apply for a pleasure boat licence online.
You'll need to pay £174.60 for a pleasure boat licence.
You’ll need:
- the address you’re going to operate from
- an email address
- a debit or credit card
What happens next
If your application for a pleasure boat licence is successful, you’ll receive a plate which includes your boat’s licence number and the date your licence will expire. You’ll need to display the plate where your passengers can see it. You'll need to renew your licence every year.
