Public accidents and incidents

If you are a member of the public and you've had an accident or witnessed an incident on council land or premises, please contact our Customer Service team on 01795 417850.

We will take some details from you and may ask you to complete an online accident form so that we can investigate the incident.

If appropriate, a link to the form will be emailed to you.

For information, an accident is an unplanned uncontrolled event which results in:

  • injury
  • ill health
  • damage to property, plant, equipment, the environment or other losses
  • non-consensual violence

A near miss is an unplanned uncontrolled event which could have resulted in: injury, damage or loss.
