Brownfield land register
Following legislation which came into force in April 2017, we’re required to prepare, maintain and publish a register which contains information on previously developed land that may be considered appropriate for residential development, known as the Brownfield Land Register. There are two parts to the register:
- Part 1 includes land which is 0.25 hectares or larger and is considered available, suitable and achievable for residential development, in line with the criteria set out within the legislation
- Part 2 includes land from part 1 of the register that has been through a publicity and consultation process and granted planning permission in principle
We don’t have any sites on Part 2 of the register at the moment. We’ll review Part 2 of the register each year.
