Safeguarding Policy
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk within Swale.
Under the Children Act 2004 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015, we are bound by statutory guidance to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
To ensure we do this effectively, we work together with Kent County Council (KCC) and the Kent Safeguarding Children Board. We are also committed under the Care Act 2014 to protecting and safeguarding adults at risk of abuse or neglect. We continue to work collaboratively with KCC and community care services provided to achieve the best outcomes for both adults and children in Swale.
