Tenancy Strategy
The Localism Act 2011 requires local authorities to develop a Tenancy Strategy to guide registered providers (RPs) in developing tenancy policies for their own stock and it also requires RPs to have regard to the strategy.
This is in response to the Affordable Rent tenancy which enables new tenancies to be granted on fixed terms and for rents to be charged at up to 80% of the local market rents.
