Change the date you pay
Use this service to change the date you pay your Council Tax.
You would normally pay your Council Tax on the first day of each month. If you want to pay it on a different date, you can change it.
Direct Debit payments
If you pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit you can choose to pay on the 1, 8, 15, 21 or 28 of each month.
You can change the date you pay your Council Tax using our online service, My Services. You’ll need your:
- Council Tax reference number
- bank account number and sort code
Other payment methods
You can choose a date to pay your Council Tax on each month, if you pay:
- online
- by using PayPoint
- in person
- by phone
- by standing order or BACS
To change the date you pay your Council Tax on, you will need to contact our Council Tax team online.
If you change the date you pay your Council Tax, unless you pay by Direct Debit, you will need to tell us each year as soon as you receive your Council Tax bill.
