Change how often you pay

Use this service to change the number of months you pay your Council Tax over.

You can use this service however you pay your Council Tax, including Direct Debit, BACS and online.

Before you get started

You can choose to pay your Council Tax over 3, 6, 10 or 12 months. If you tell us when you're going to pay your Council Tax by:

• 31 March, you can choose to pay it over 3, 6, 10 or 12 months
• 31 May, you can choose to pay it over 3, 6 or 10 months
• 30 September, you can choose to pay it over 3 or 6 months
• 31 December, you can choose to pay it over 3 months

Alternatively, you can pay your whole Council Tax bill in one go, when you receive it.

To tell us you want to change the number of months you pay your Council Tax over, you'll need to complete our online form. You’ll need your:

• Council Tax account number
• your address
• the number of months you want to pay your Council Tax over - 3, 6, 10 or 12

What happens next

Once we’ve received your request, we’ll send you a revised Council Tax bill.

You can change how many months you pay your Council Tax over using our online dashboard, My Services. You’ll need your Council Tax account number.
