Sustainability Appraisal
Sustainability appraisals and appropriate assessments
To ensure the social, environmental and economic effects of our plans and policies are assessed, we carry out Sustainability Appraisals (SA) for some of our planning policy documents.
Some documents also require a Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA) to examine the impacts upon sites designated for biodiversity at the European level.
