Invitation to Nominate a Local Heritage List Item
The invitation to nominate are scheduled to run every three years in line with Swale’s adopted heritage strategy action plans.
The next round of ‘invitations to nominate’ are scheduled to start in mid-September 2025.
Current adopted system within Swale Borough Council
Borough-wide nominations are invited then a selection panel is set up that comprises the Chair/representative of all four Area Committees, representative of key amenity societies covering all geographical locations within Swale, the member heritage champion, borough conservation officers and representative from Historic England. This final list is then presented to Policy and Resources Committee for ratification/adoption and published on the SBC website.
