Five Year Housing Land Supply Statement - Interim update August 2026
On the 17th August 2026 the Government published its latest housing delivery test results that included implications for the Councils Five years housing land supply. The test results require the Council to update its housing land supply position from that publish in November 2025. The Councils update is an interim position setting out that the Council at 1 April 2025 can demonstrate 3.48 years worth of housing land supply (PDF 93KB) against the requirements in the National Planning Policy Framework 2026.
The 5 year Housing Land Supply Position Statement (PDF 3.68MB) published on November 2025 is still to be used for matters of the Council's 5 years housing land supply methodology, evidence gathering and the phasing and delivery rates of housing sites. A comprehensive five years housing land supply position that will update all matters and evidence to a base date of 1 April 2026 will be published later this year.
