Five Year Housing Land Supply Statement
At the 1 April 2024 the Council can demonstrate 4.21 years worth of housing land supply against the requirements of the NPPF December 2023. Whilst the Government consulted upon changes to the NPPF in July 2024, at the time of publishing this comprehensive position statement (PDF 8.41MB) the changes have not been adopted into national policy. To address this, the position statement provides an alternative 5 years position of 3.93 years that would become the Councils position should the July 2024 changes become adopted. Should an alternative approach to that consulted upon in July become national policy then the Council will review it position at that time.
This comprehensive position statement and supply position supersedes the 5 year housing land supply position after the Ufton Court Farm Inquiry (PDF 416KB) decision in July 2024.
