Five Year Housing Land Supply Statement - February 2025

Following on from the Governments latest update to the NPPF in December 2024, that included significant changes to the standard method of calculating Local Housing Need, the Council can now demonstrate 3.98 years' worth of supply  (PDF 174KB) at a base date 1 April 2024.

This update supersedes the comprehensive position statement (PDF 8.41MB) that was published in November 2024.  The comprehensive position statement considered the Councils 5 years housing land supply against the December 2023 NPPF, and the July 2024 NPPF consultation on proposed changes.  Whilst both calculation approaches are no longer applicable, the supply and approach to delivery of housing sites set out in the statement are still appropriate and have informed this calculation update.
