Speaking at a planning committee meeting
Chapters in this topic
Before you ask to speak
Planning Committee meetings are usually held once a month on Thursday at 7pm in the Council Chamber at Swale House, Sittingbourne.
You can ask to speak if:
- you’re a representative from a parish or town council, a supporter, objector, the applicant or their agent
- you’ve got specific views which relate to material considerations concerning a planning application
- the application is on the meeting’s agenda
You can see the latest Planning Committee agendas online.
Only one representative from each group is allowed to speak, for example one supporter and one objector.
Before the meeting takes place, we’ll pass a list of public speakers around.
