Reuse of information
After you’ve received information from us in response to your Freedom of Information request you don’t automatically have the right to make any further use of that information.
You can use the information for your own purposes, including non-commercial research and news reporting.
If you wish to reuse it for commercial purposes, copy or publish it you must contact us to get our permission. If you don’t you will breach copyright.
Making a Request
You need to make the request in writing to:

You’ll need to include:
- Your name and a postal or email address that we can reply to.
- a clear description of the information you want to reuse.
- The purpose you intend to use it for.
Responding to a request
We will respond to your request within 20 working days. Unless the request is for the supply and reuse of exempt information, we must grant you a licence to reuse the information.
If we’re going to charge you for its use then we will explain why and how much.
We will make the information available to you under the terms of the Open Government Licence v3. You should read the terms of this licence before you use any Council information.
Complaints
If you are unhappy about how you request for reuse has been dealt with you should follow the complaints procedure for requests made under the FOIA.
