Pay for a licence
Use this service if you’ve applied for a licence to hire horses and you’ve received an invoice following your premises inspection.
Fees
The fee you'll pay depends on the star rating you receive during your inspection, and the number of horses you're hiring.
Between 1 and 2 star rating
If your premises has a 1 or 2 star rating, and you're keeping:
- keeping between 1 and 10 horses, you'll need to pay £217
- 11 horses or more, you'll need to pay £238
Between 3 and 4 star rating
If your premises has a 3 or 4 star rating, and you're keeping:
- between 1 and 10 horses, you'll need to pay £360
- 11 or more horses, you'll need to pay £396
5 Star rating
If your premises has a 5 star rating, and you're keeping:
- between 1 and 10 horses, you'll need to pay £505
- 11 or more horses, you'll need to pay £555
Before you get started
To pay your invoice, you’ll need:
- your invoice reference number
- a debit or credit card
What happens next
Once you’ve paid your invoice, we’ll issue your licence within 14 working days.
