Renew a Dual Driver or Private Hire Licence
Use this service to renew an existing dual driver of private hire licence.
There is a separate process to renew a licence for your vehicle.
To renew your dual driver or private hire licence, you’ll need to:
- complete and return an application form
- send us your completed medical form
- pay a fee
The fee you’ll pay will depend on your age. If you’re:
- 70 or under, you’ll pay £150
- over 70, you’ll pay £50

What happens next
Once we’ve received all the necessary documents, including your completed application, we’ll process your application.
If your application to renew your dual driver or private hire licence is successful, we’ll send you your new licence within 7 working days.
