Alley gates

Introduction to alley gates

We've installed gates to restrict access to residents only in certain alleyways in Sheerness and Sittingbourne. Alley gates help to reduce anti-social behaviour like drug use or fly-tipping in these alleyways.

If you've moved into an area of Swale that has alley gates and you haven't got keys for it, you can buy them. You can buy replacement or additional keys too.

Reporting anti-social behaviour

If you witness anti-social behaviour including drug use or fly-tipping in an alleyway in Swale, you can report it to our Community Safety Unit.
