Storm Ciarán is bringing rain and wind which is causing some disruption around the borough.

Service updates

To prepare for the storm, we instructed our street cleaning contractors to prioritise clearing key road gullies where there is a risk of surface water flooding.

Food waste caddies are being returned inside wheelie bins to prevent them being blown away by high winds.

People are being encouraged to stay away from the coast during the storm, and we will be closing flood gates where there is a flood risk.

We want people to make sure they know what they can do to stay safe any minimise the impact of severe weather.

The Met Office website has the latest information on weather warnings, and advice for what to do in severe weather.
