Diversity House Family Festival Day

The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending a Diversity House Family Festival Day at ISP House Church Street Sittingbourne. The day will consist of various performances and many activities.

Tuesday September 28

10am-10.15am Unveiling of Romano-British Temple in Newington

The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending the official unveiling in Newington of the reconstructed foundations of a Romano-British temple, uncovered in 2018 during an 18-month archaeological excavation. The invite is from Persimmon Homes.

The short ceremony will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 28, at Watling Drive, Newington, ME9 7FX.

The reconstruction project of the 2,000-year-old temple has been completed by Newington History Group and Swale and Thames Archaeology Survey Company (SWAT), with the support of Persimmon Homes.

10am Tesco Sheerness Community Champion Selection Meeting

The Mayor and Mayoress will be attending a Selection Committee Meeting at the Tesco Store Bridge Road Sheerness in order to assist in the selection of the finalists in the 10 categories.

Members of the public to vote for their winners via Tesco Sheerness Community Champion Facebook page and also via paper versions for non-social media voters.
