Request a loading bay
Use this service if you’re a business and you want to install a bay that allows you to load and unload goods near your premises.
A loading bay can’t be used for parking and restrictions may be in place to prevent loading and unloading at certain times.
If your request is successful, you’ll need to pay a fee. The fee you’ll pay will be based on the circumstances of your request. The fee can range from £1,060 to £2,000.
It can take up to 12 months to install a loading bay.
Before you get started
To request a loading bay, you’ll need to email our engineering team at engineers@swale.gov.uk. You’ll need to include:
- the address of your premises
- a description of the location you want to install the loading bay
- your reason for wanting a loading bay
You can also include information about any problems that you’ve experienced because you haven’t got a bay, like difficulties loading and unloading.
