Following the government's announcement on Monday 4 January 2021, you must follow national lockdown guidelines. For more information, visit GOV.UK. For information about changes to our services, visit our coronavirus section.

Due to essential maintenance, searches for both planning applications and stray dogs will be unavailable this Saturday, 12 June along with some our other online services, like Council Tax payments and missed bin reports. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

Registering new properties

Before you register

You’ll need to register any properties you build so that:

  • post, utilities and other services can be delivered to the new addresses
  • you comply with the law

It will normally take up to:

  • five working days to register a single property
  • six weeks to register a new development of four of more properties

You’ll need to pay a fee to register a new property. The fee you’ll pay will depend on how many properties you’re registering.

After you’ve registered

Once we’ve received your application to register a new property, we may run a consultation before we progress it.

Consultations can take up to six weeks.
