Street Knowledge Test (SKT) for new Taxi and Private Hire drivers

Introduction
You’ll need to pass our street knowledge test (SKT) before you can apply for a licence to drive a taxi or private hire vehicle in Swale.
The test takes place on the first Tuesday of each month from 10am. It includes seven sections (A to G) and includes questions on things like the highway code and basic maths as well as testing your knowledge of Swale’s streets.
You’ll need to achieve 100% in the safeguarding section and:
- 60% in sections A, B and C to receive a private hire licence
- 80% in sections A, B and C to receive a dual driver’s licence
You can take the test as many times as you like, but we'll consider first-time applicants first.
You’ll need to book your test and pay a fee at least six days before you take it.
