Chapters in this topic
Introduction
You may need an environmental permit from us under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 if your premises use machinery or processes that produce or handle harmful substances like dry cleaners, petrol station or cement works .
For more information about the types of permit, when you'll need one and who you'll need to apply to, visit GOV.UK.
If you don’t get a permit, you could receive a fine or be sent to prison.
