Retailer Shop Radio System - Swale Link
Introduction
Swale Link helps prevent crime by providing businesses with ways to share information about incidents, including reports of shop lifters and anti-social behaviour. It provides:
- radio equipment to keep in touch with other businesses
- the Swale Link website where you can view and report incidents
Swale Link is accredited to the national standards for Business Crime Reduction Partnerships (BCRP) by the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships.
Joining
To join Swale Link, you’ll need to pay a fee.
There are two types of membership:
- associate membership
- full membership
Associate membership provides you with access to Swale Link's website only whereas full membership provides access to the radio equipment and Swale Link's website.
Associate membership costs £100.
For full membership, you'll pay:
- £180 if you're a charity
- £240 if you're an independent business
- £420 if you have more than one shop in Swale
Signing up to Swale Link's website is optional for full membership but we recommend it.
The Swale Link website allows you to report and view information about incidents that other Swale Link members have reported.
Leaving the scheme
If you’re already a member of Swale Link and you’re thinking of leaving, email us.
Make a request for information
If you’re an authority, such as the Police, and you need information following and incident, you can request it by email.
Looking after the radio equipment
Always:
- turn off the radio when it’s charging
- keep the radio away from liquids
