Applying for planning permission

The planning team are experiencing a high volume of applications and as such we will be reducing officer contact for a trial period of 8 weeks from Monday 6 February.

You can use the Public Access system to view existing planning applications and check progress.

Appeal a decision

You can use this service if:

  • you disagree with our decision
  • you disagree with conditions we’ve added to your application
  • we’ve not responded to your application within 8 weeks (or 13 weeks for major developments)

You may be able to make minor changes to your application instead of appealing. You’ll need to speak to the planning officer who dealt with your application to discuss making minor changes. You’ll find their contact details on your acknowledgement letter.

You can make an appeal online. You’ll need to include:

  • a plan of the works, if you have one
  • evidence to support your appeal
