The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment
The SHLAA (Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment) (PDF 69MB) is a key piece of evidence that identified a future supply of land which is ‘suitable’, ‘available’ and ‘achievable’ for housing, employment and other uses for the period of the local plan review. It does not, in itself, allocate sites.
Strategic Development Options
In 2018, we asked landowners and developers to submit proposals for new communities so that we could see if this option should be considered by the Local Plan review. We have undertaken assessments of the proposals submitted.
